Criminals brag

"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government."
- Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991

FACT: Governments use fear to control you

More on government-sponsored terrorism

US Republicans launch terror ad

The US Republican Party has launched a controversial terror-linked TV advertisement to bolster support ahead of mid-term elections next month.

The footage shows al-Qaeda leaders with captions of threatening statements, while the soundtrack of a ticking bomb plays in the background.

The advertisement, which ends with the sound of a bomb exploding, is due to air from Sunday.

Democrats have hit out at the commercial, calling it scaremongering.

US voters go to the polls on 7 November to elect members of Congress.

Republicans have made a tough stance on terrorism a major part of their campaign strategy.

'Desperate ploy'

Both Osama Bin Laden and his second in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, are shown in the commercial, which is entitled "The Stakes".

Attributed quotes such as "Kill the Americans" and "What is yet to come will be even greater" are flashed across the screen.

Gun-bearing militants in training camps are also shown, followed by the stark message: "These are the stakes. Vote November 7th."

A statement on the Democratic National Committee website called the advertisement "a desperate ploy to once again try to scare voters and distract from their failures".

"Republicans are so afraid of their abysmal record they can't offer one example of what they've done to keep America safe," the response said.

But the Republican National Committee said the advertisement "underscores the high stakes America faces in the global War on Terror".

The BBC's Justin Webb in Washington says the advertisement comes as the Republican Party face up to the real possibility that it could lose control of one or both houses in the polls.

This is an outcome that would in effect torpedo the Bush presidency, our correspondent adds.

THE WHOLE GOP IS A WEIRD PEDOPHILE DEATH CULT

Political consultant sentenced for imprisoning students

Gabrielle Banks, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette | October 12 2006

A veteran GOP consultant was sentenced today to 5 to 10 years in prison for luring two male college students into his home on separate occasions, holding them captive in his spartan apartment and threatening them with Mafia retaliation if they contacted their friends or family.

A jury convicted Leon Abramovitz, of Shadyside, in July on charges of theft, coercion, false imprisonment, unauthorized practice of law, simple assault, indecent assault and making terroristic threats. His victims, 24-year-old and 22-year-old University of Pittsburgh students, were lured into his home with the promise of jobs tailored to their career goals.

He had pleaded guilty to coercing a teenage boy and a 27-year-old and holding them captive in 1999 and 2000.

The bespectacled defendant appeared before Common Pleas Judge Cheryl Allen in a wheelchair, his white beard making him look decades older than his 59 years. He told the judge he feared for his safety after inmates in his pod at Allegheny County Jail got their hands on a discovery folder from his trial and began calling him a "baby raper" and threatening to have inmates at the state prison "take care of him."

Judge Allen told him he "chose to victimize two people while on probation for the very conduct" he was previously convicted of engaging in. "It's your verbal prowess that poses a danger to society," she said. "As long as you are able to speak, Mr. Abramovitz, you are a danger to society."

The defendant served on the City Council's redistricting committee, for various Republican politicians and served in the Reagan Administration's office of constituent affairs, said his attorney Ira Houck.

What's left of the constitution?

"There are two parts of the Constitution of the United States left in this country. The one exists in the hearts and minds of free men and women in this country like you and me, and the other is a little tiny part of the second amendment, and that's the part you put the cartridges in." - David Christopher Short

A Normal Response

Shirley offers fix for bad parenting: Sterilize irresponsible moms, dads, he says

Normal people get pissed off and freaked out and violent upon reading a newspaper article like this. Normal people get freaked out when they read CBS News telling them that on September 10, 2001, Donald Rumsfeld announced that $2.3 trillion dollars were missing from the Pentagon, and nobody gets investigated or fired or court-marshalled or imprisoned. Just type into Google, "trillions missing from Pentagon," you'll get hundreds of links. If you think that is incompetence and not open criminality, you are insane.
